Akshay Kumar Gets Mercilessly Trolled For Welcoming BMC On Twitter. Here's Why
Mission Mangal star Akshay Kumar gets heavily trolled for his recent tweet on twitter. While enjoying jolly time with his family in London, the actor took out a moment to inform and update his fans about BMC’s twitter initiative. Instead of getting applauded for the same, Akshay got heavily trolled for being of Canadian nationality.

The tweet shared by the actor on his Twitter handle was to update Mumbaikars about this initiative. Despite the efforts, all thanks to his Canadian nationality, Akshay’s tweet sparked the troll. The actor received a lot of bad comments from the twitterati. Akshay’s tweet read, “The BMC is now on twitter as @mybmc, you can now tweet your suggestions/ grievances to BMC directly and get them addressed. Try it now to make your voice heard directly.”

While the BMC thanked the actor for his effort in spreading the news to the mumbaikars, the tweet read, “Thank you Mr @akshaykumar for helping us
bring maximum Mumbaikars together on this medium to take up the #CollectiveResponsibility of keeping our city at its best. We look forward to
effectively addressing people’s grievances & also sensitising them of the
role they can play.”

Here’s what the Twitterati has to say to the actor:

While the actor’s citizenship has always been a debatable issue, Akshay has also not hidden the fact that he holds a Canadian passport. The actor, in fact, also cleared it through social media about his connection to India and also revealed that he has not been to Canada in the past seven years and that he pays all his taxes to India.

Akshay earlier also released an official statement through his Twitter clarifying to the fans about his citizenship. The tweet read, “"I really don't understand the unwarranted interest and negativity about my citizenship. I have never hidden or denied that I hold a Canadian passport. It is also equally true that I have not visited Canada in the last seven years. I work in India and pay all my taxes in India.”

Akki further added, “While all these years, I have never needed to prove my love for India to anyone, I find it disappointing that my citizenship issue is constantly dragged into needless controversy, a matter that is personal, legal, non-political, and of no consequences to others." "Lastly, I would like to continue contributing in my small way to the causes that I believe in and make India stronger and stronger."

As the actor is currently enjoying his vacation with family in London, and on the work front Akshay will be seen in the upcoming movies Sooryavanshi, Mission Mangal, Laxmmi Bomb, Good News and Housefull 4. The actors upcoming film Mission Mangal has been quite in the tabloids for its big Box-Office clash on this Independence Day with Prabhas’ Saaho and John Abraham’s Batla House.
